Japan is known for its unique street fashion such as Harajuku and Visual Kei. The Harajuku style has been fused with various styles throughout the world and is a source of inspiration for many American designers. Japan took individialism to a whole new level and now they are doing the same with nail art. The nail industry is huge in Japan right now and the more elaborate the nail design, the more popular it becomes. The launch of Minx nails gave trendsetting woman a way to extend fashion to their nails, but nail technicians in Japan created a way to turn what we consider a grooming technique into a work of art.
